2019 IACAT Conference Dates Announced
Join us in Minneapolis, USA for the next IACAT conference, 10-13 June 2019. We're looking forward to another fantastic opportunity to discuss the theory and applications of computerized adaptive testing (CAT), following up on the successful 2017 conference hosted by Niigata Seiryo University in Japan (many thanks to Tetsuo Kimura, John Barnard, and Monique Trigg). A call for papers, conference theme, and more information will become available over the next few months; check the conference webpage periodically to stay up to date.
Minnesota: A History of CAT Research
Why Minneapolis? The University of Minnesota was the site of much of the original research in adaptive testing in the 1970s, which led to the first CAT conferences in 1977, 1979, and 1982, and also the 1979 founding of the 2019 conference host Assessment Systems Corporation. Minneapolis was then the site of the CAT Conferences in 2007 and 2009 hosted by the Graduate Management Admissions Council. In addition to the substantial research and teaching that occurs at the University of Minnesota, and the fact that it is home to a number of assessment companies, Minneapolis is also a wonderful destination to visit in early summer. We look forward to seeing you there!
